Tintwhisk is operated by [YOUR FULL NAME], trading as Tintwhisk, based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use tintwhisk.com and the Tintwhisk calculator, and what we do with it. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER].
The short version: your recipes and bottle calibrations are stored only in your own browser — they are never sent to us or anyone else. The only personal information we collect is your email address, and only if you choose to join our launch list.
The Tintwhisk calculator saves your recipes and bottle calibrations using your browser's local storage. This data lives on your device only. It is not transmitted to our servers, we cannot see it, and we could not hand it to anyone else even if asked. Clearing your browser's site data will delete it — there is no copy anywhere else.
Email address (launch list). If you join our launch list, we collect the email address you enter. We use it to send occasional updates about Tintwhisk — new features, launch news, and founder pricing. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any email or contacting us at the address below. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone for their own marketing.
Basic technical logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs for security and operational purposes.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or social media pixels. The calculator uses local storage solely to save your own recipes and calibrations on your device, as described above.
We keep launch-list emails until you unsubscribe, you ask us to delete yours, or the list is retired — whichever comes first.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
Tintwhisk is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle personal data — for example, when paid accounts launch — we will update this page and, for significant changes, tell the launch list by email.
